Pastor & Lady Bias

Lady Merian Bias is a native of Mississippi. She completed her high school education in Mississippi and later pursued further studies both in the state and abroad while traveling with the military. In addition to her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother, she is dedicated to serving God and supporting her husband.

Over the years, First Lady Bias has held several positions within the church, including serving as the Women’s Ministry President, Pastor’s Aide President, and Secretary of the Women’s Ministry. She has also contributed as an usher and as a mentor for young teenage girls through the Sister-2-Sister program.

She expresses gratitude for the wonderful women of God who have acted as mentors in her life and believes that every woman needs some form of spiritual support. 

First Lady Bias is committed to providing that same mentorship to others.

Her love for the word of God is evident, and her favorite scripture is Isaiah 40:31: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

First Lady Bias desires that the Body of Christ love and serve God faithfully and strive to be the best Christians they can be. Although worshiping God is one of her greatest joys, she also cherishes spending time with her family. Her most celebrated reward is being the wife of her talented, anointed, and loving husband, Pastor Bruce Bias Sr.

Rev. Bruce Bias Sr. is married to Merian H. Bias, and they have five children and seven grandchildren. 

Rev. Bias is a retired U.S. Army veteran with 21 years of active military service. He enjoys sharing the Word of God straightforwardly. 

He was licensed to preach the gospel in 2001 and ordained in 2010. Throughout his ministry, he has served in various roles, including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, Armor Bearer, and Associate Pastor.

His educational background in ministry includes The Augusta School of Biblical Studies and The American Baptist College. He is currently pursuing further studies in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University.

Rev. Bias's pastoral experience includes serving at Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Barnwell, SC, for six years, and Richmond Hill Baptist Church in Hephzibah, GA, for four years. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of The Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, and as the founder of Glory Belongs To God Ministries.

Pastor Bias remains committed to serving and expresses gratitude daily for the privilege of ministering His Word, shepherding the flock at GSMBC, and loving the people of God. His clarion call comes from Ezekiel 33:7: "So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth and warn them from me." 

Pastor Bias whole heartedly agrees with the teachings of the Apostle Paul, emphasizing the importance of preaching the Word of God both in season and out of season, always mindful that the time is coming when men will no longer adhere to sound doctrine.
